Information and benefits

Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef

The Ultimate Winter Escape: Why Invest in a Whitsunday Yacht Share?

While most of the country retreats indoors for winter, the Whitsundays come alive with balmy 25°C days, crystal-clear visibility, and the majestic migration of Humpback whales. A yacht share in the Whitsundays is more than an investment; it is your guaranteed ticket to the world’s most beautiful island chain on your own luxury vessel.

Our unique model offers the best of both worlds. Our fleet is home-berthed on the Gold Coast for the majority of the year, but we dock in the Whitsundays for winter, ensuring our owners have a luxury base in the tropics exactly when they need it most.

Graham & Lisa Testimonial
Graham and Lisa

Having experienced another yacht-share model, Graham and Lisa knew what they were looking for. Their experience with Neptune has been a clear step up, particularly in the quality of preparation and attention to detail.

Niranga Testimonial
NIRANGA

For Niranga, the experience begins with the quality of the boats and the people behind them. Piers’ communication and honesty were important factors in the decision to move across, while the boats themselves made an immediate impression.

Andrew Testimonial
Andrew

For this owner, moving through the Neptune range has been a natural progression. The more they experienced the lifestyle, the more they appreciated the amenity and enjoyment that came with each boat.

Andrew Testimonial
Andrew

Andrew had looked at buying his own boat, but the maintenance, upkeep and organising involved made it difficult. Living interstate meant having the right contacts and keeping everything running could become a challenge.

Scott Testimonial
SCOTT

For Scott, one of the biggest benefits is knowing the boat is ready when he arrives. The only things he needs to manage are bringing the food on and taking the rubbish off.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does yacht share ownership work?

Yacht share ownership allows you to enjoy the benefits of owning a luxury yacht without the full financial and operational burden. Instead of purchasing an entire vessel, you acquire a defined share, which gives you guaranteed access to the yacht for a set number of days or weeks each year.

Neptune Oceanic structures each ownership group carefully, ensuring a limited number of owners per yacht. This means availability is reliable, scheduling is fair, and the yacht is never overused. Usage is managed through a transparent booking system that balances peak and off peak periods across all owners.

Each 1/8 share provides 6 weeks of guaranteed annual usage, plus unlimited flexi-day access. This time is allocated evenly throughout the year, including The Whitsundays. Other share levels increase allocations.

All vessels are berthed at our managed marinas on the Gold Coast or Airlie Beach for the Whitsundays season.

Our in-house team and marine engineer handle all maintenance, cleaning, and detailing to Riviera factory standards. We have direct servicing contracts with Volvo and Cummins. We are BIA members committed to upholding marine industry standards, offering peace of mind that your investment is secure.

Absolutely. We assist with resale and marketing. Yacht shares retain strong resale value when maintained under Neptune Oceanic’s expert maintenance schedules.

We believe true luxury begins with trust. That’s why we invite independent marine surveys on all our vessels.

Yes. A current recreational boat licence is required if you wish to self-drive. If you prefer not to operate the vessel yourself, we can arrange a qualified skipper for you. In that case, no licence is needed
