Annual Neptune Oceanic Whitsundays Tour

What to Expect

Departing the Gold Coast every June, the Neptune Oceanic convoy heads north up the East Coast of Australia on the voyage of a lifetime.

Cruising in company through some of the most spectacular waters in the country, the fleet stops at the pristine coral lagoon of Lady Musgrave Island before continuing on to explore the iconic Whitsundays, dropping anchor at a string of secluded island bays along the way.

The journey winds through turquoise water, white sand beaches and the heart of the Great Barrier Reef before arriving into Airlie Beach.

It is more than a delivery passage. It is a shared adventure with fellow owners, expert crew and memories that last well beyond the final mooring.

Depart the Gold Coast

The adventure begins on home water as the fleet slips out of the Gold Coast and points north. From the first morning, owners cruise in company with expert crew aboard, settling into the rhythm of life at sea.

Lady Musgrave Island

The convoy drops anchor in the sheltered coral lagoon of Lady Musgrave, a pristine pocket of the southern Great Barrier Reef. It is a chance to swim, snorkel and take in one of the most untouched corners of the Queensland coast.

Cruising the Whitsundays

The heart of the voyage unfolds across the Whitsunday Islands, where turquoise water meets white sand beaches. Owners explore secluded bays and quiet anchorages that few ever see from the deck of their own yacht.

Arrive into Airlie Beach

The journey draws to a close as the fleet arrives into Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsundays. It is the perfect place to step ashore, raise a glass and reflect on the trip of a lifetime.

Day 3: Departing Fraser Island with Lady Elliot Island in our sights, the ocean had different ideas. With seas running rough, we made the call to divert to Lady Musgrave Island and it turned out to be the right one. We wrapped up the day with drinks on the beach at sunset, one of those moments that makes you glad things don't always go to plan.

Day 4: Lady Musgrave delivered one of the best sunsets of the trip and then followed it up with an equally stunning sunrise. A true highlight so far. We departed at 7am, bound for Great Keppel Island. With swell forecast to build past two metres, we made the call to pull into Rosslyn Bay Marina, where we topped up the fuel and settled in for the night. The whole crew has booked dinner at a local restaurant, so a good evening ahead.
